ShieldPeek doesn't have an account, a server, or a database. Every setting and your Kid Lock PIN stay only on your device. We don't collect, see, or transmit any of it.
We don't collect your name, email, contacts, photos, messages, or anything you view underneath the privacy shade. The overlay draws a colored layer on screen — it cannot and does not read, capture, or record what's beneath it.
Your PIN is converted to a one-way cryptographic hash before it's saved. We never store the PIN itself, and it never leaves your device.
Display over other apps — required to draw the privacy shade / Kid Lock
overlay.
Notifications — shows the "shade active" / "kid lock active" status and
lets you turn features off.
Foreground service — keeps the overlay running reliably while a feature
is on.
ShieldPeek is funded by ads served through Google AdMob, shown only on the app's own screen — never inside the privacy shade or while Kid Lock is active. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect device and usage identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. Where required (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), you'll see a consent form on first launch, and ad personalization follows the choice you make there. You can review or change that choice at any time from the app's menu → "Ad Consent Options" (shown only where it applies).
ShieldPeek is a tool used by an adult (for example, a parent handing a phone to a child), not a service aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because nothing is stored anywhere except your device, uninstalling the app — or clearing its storage from system Settings — permanently deletes all of it immediately.
